How did crossdressing help me?

When I was a young crossdresser I always thought if I ever got drunk or got on drugs I might say something that could be bad. My cross dressing was my biggest secret. I didn't want anyone to know about it so I stayed away from the wrong people, alcohol and drugs. There were a few times I had a choice to drink or take drugs but I said no because of my fear.
